Born in Addis Ababa Ethiopia, Delina Ghezu is an Ethiopian commercial model based in London. She started modeling at the age of 17 her passion for modeling was not very much in fact she always wanted to be a dancer and singer. Because she only stands 5’6 she never thought modeling would be her full time career. It was in December 2008 Delina Ghezu was approached by top model agent asking her if she had any interest of being involved in a photo shoot for a top gadget brand. She was overwhelmed by the whole thing and exchanged numbers then she met the agent the following week. As the agent was particularly looking for a girl like her, to attend casting for one of her top clients she prepared her with some tips and sent her off to the casting. This was when Delina Ghezu was very excited about the modeling industry as she booked her first ever casting for an iPod GIRL. Casting along with many other professional models Delina Ghezu got picked to be the iPod girl. She was also signed with her first mother agency in London taking modeling as her part time job besides her studies.
Since then Delina Ghezu worked for top international brands such as ADIDIAS, LOREAL UK, BBC, T-MOBILE, VODA Phone, BOOBI BROWN, BLACKBERRY, featured in many glossy magazines such as Cosmopolitan magazine, Glamore megazine, Channel4, Novotel, etc. She appeared on much international top international advertising alongside top celebrities such as Katy Perry ‘ADIDAS IS ALL IN’ campaign. With her ambiguous look and charming personality Delina Ghezu is a regular model for many international brands.
She believes anything is possible if you work hard and is determined now to open doors to her beautiful fellow beautiful Ethiopian girls in her country. She believes modeling is not only posing it’s also acting not only looking great but having that personality. She is also a media studies graduates at the University of EAST LONDON. She has passion for photography and she believes soon she will also start working on her photography skills to work behind the camera as well as in front of camera.
